Hiking along the Tamarack View Trail is great fun, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Wilmot mountain is pretty near. You'll meet a lot of people from Racine here, and there's some flowing water close by, Sequoit Creek is a stream you can explore during your stay. You could also take a look at Bluff Lake if you're here at Lake Marie; it's nearby, and if you want to play some golf,       you're in luck because Antioch Golf Club is around here. A common amount of rain falls here at Lake Marie; during July this area sees the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. White River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by, and Comfort Inn & Suites is a good spot to get some rest. Camping is available at Old Port Cove Marina; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Suites Grayslake. This is no spot for people who don’t like to                  enjoy themselves. Nearby lakes? Sure, Channel Lake is near Lake Marie, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Lake Defiance Nature Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Grass Lake Marina and RV Park while you're here at Lake Marie, and you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the Volo Bog Interpretive Trail. The skiing at Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park (Snowboarding only - no skiing) is tremendous. Throughout the months of summer at Lake Marie highs are usually in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's.
