Mallard Pond gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; all through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. Mallard Pond is not the only place nearby, Bass Lake is a nearby lake; a magnificent place to camp here at Mallard Pond is Mendota Hills Campground.
