Go to Lake Murphysboro if you want to go to a nice lake. Camping is available at Double M Campground, and Snockey Pond is a nearby lake that you could pop by. There's whitewater on Bear Branch for all you adrenaline kick people, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Beaver Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Pine Ridge Campground is a fine place to camp, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Harrisburg.

This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the River to River Trail, and after
a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Harrisburg is a great place to spend a night or two. Lake Murphysboro sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
