Not far from Lake Marion, you'll discover Lake Arrowhead which is a pretty lake, and if you have time, Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor is a national park worth going to. During the warmest time of the year at Lake Marion temperatures are generally in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. While it’s unclear whether the State will put ''trail closed'' signs up, there is no apparent money to maintain them and fallen trees, washouts, and other issues will undoubtedly happen.
