All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Echon a wet place; March is the month that gets the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect nearby hotel is Marion Super 8 Motel, and the River to River Trail offers hiking at its best. Why not stop by Lake Echon Dam while you're here, and a tour to Lake Echon wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Cedar       Falls. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Lake Echon, and the overnight is fairly colder of course, mostly in the 60's. Highs during the winter are ordinarily in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Lake Echon. What a place this is for outdoors folks. If you need a location to stay Drury Inn Marion is a splendid choice; camping is available at Ondessonk Camp. At Lake Echon you always meet someone from Harrisburg. If you came for an overnight                  stay A Bay Creek Ranch Campground is a fine location to camp; get covered with water paddling on Bear Branch.
