All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Echon a wet spot; the month with most of the rain is March; January is when it's the                  driest. This lake is so wonderful. A fine close by hotel is Drury Inn Marion. Any time is a great time at Lake Echon if you go for the outdoors. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Lusk Creek. There's so much to do here at Lake Echon that you need to camp here for a while, Ondessonk Camp is a pleasant place for that. Take a side trip to East Branch Cedar Creek, and hiking along the River to River Trail is great fun.
