A pleasant trip to Ned Brown Meadow is a brilliant way to spend an afternoon, and the trees of Busse Forest North are a great source of shade on hot summer days. This lake is so wonderful. South Dam on Salt Creek is a picturesque place right next door to Lake Cosman. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lake Cosman has to offer, you can camp at E Z Go. Lake Cosman is not far at all from Chicago-Naperville-Joliet, and let's not forget West Branch

| | Salt Creek which is a stream that you may come across while here. High temperatures at Lake Cosman during the warmest time of the year are in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lake Cosman.

Place Chicago/Itasca, and you can stay the night at Green River Oaks. From a precipitation point of view Lake Cosman is a rather typical place; the month with most of the rain is August while February is usually the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. Villa Olivia has fine slopes and a friendly staff, and popping by Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Four Lakes is a very popular ski
area around here. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lake Cosman. Days Inn Schaumburg/Elk Grove is a delightful spot to get some rest, and you'll hit upon a charming lake called Busse Lake.

The Governor’s office recently announced that the State of Illinois will be closing the I&M and Hennepin Canal State Parks. While it’s unclear whether the State will put ''trail closed'' signs up, there is no apparent money to maintain them and fallen trees, washouts, and other issues will undoubtedly happen.
