This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Mississippi River offers some delightful whitewater, and Far Oaks Golf Club is a glorious golf course nearby. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Kapes Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows at Kapes Lake       during the wintertime mostly descend into the 10's. Camping is available at Red Barn Rendezvous RV Park, and if you need a spot to stay Sleep Inn O'Fallon is a great choice. Camping at Lake Suzanne Mobile Acres is always a perfect experience, and this is a popular place for folks from St. Louis. Kapes Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January.
