     You'll meet a lot of folks from Kankakee-Bradley here; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Watseka is a glorious place to spend a night or two. Through the summer at Kam Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are frequently in the 30's; night lows in the 10's for Kam Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You're almost certainly interested in lakes, Fish Lake is  
   one of those close by, and Kam Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Kankakee South Koa is a splendid local campground. This is a splendid neighborhood for people who like lakes. Miller Spring Lake is a lake close by.
Kam Lake gets a typical amount of rain; the month with most of the rain is July while February is generally the driest month. Don't forget to take a great little spree to Shavetail Creek; a delightful nearby hotel is Super 8 Gilman.

Shore fishing was great for me this year. I went fishing two weeks straight(excluding Sun). I caught at least two bass per day on one type of bait. 10.5 in. zoom ribbontail worm/black. Each bass weighed at least 1.5lbs. one bass weighed 2lbs and one weighed 2.5lbs...I caught three lg mouth back to back swimming a football jig with crayfish trailer. Good lake to fish if you have a boat or paddleboat. Not the best from the bank. Limited spots to fish....
