The beauty of Lake Ida attracts many people from all around. An average amount of precipitation falls at Lake Ida; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is the month with the least moisture. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Lake Ida. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Lake Ida. | | is a good location to get some rest, and near Lake Ida you stumble on a golf course called Flagg Creek Golf Course Restaurant. Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor is a tremendous national park; Maple Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Villa Olivia is a magnificent location to do that, and a lake close by is Tuma Lake. So much entertaining stuff to do at Lake Ida, so little time. Sundown Meadows | |

is a tremendous spot to check out; there's whitewater on Des Plaines for all you adrenaline rush seekers. If you came for an overnight stay Windy City Campground is a splendid place to camp; if you're here you will meet lots of folks
from close by Chicago-Naperville-Joliet. Everybody close by loves skiing at Four Lakes, and A-ok Campgrounds Of Frankfort is a great campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. You don't should go far from Lake Ida to enjoy
Airie Crown Woods; after a long day outdoors Marriott Chicago Southwest At Burr Ridge is a perfect place to spend a night or two.

While it’s unclear whether the State will put ''trail closed'' signs up, there is no apparent money to maintain them and fallen trees, washouts, and other issues will undoubtedly happen. Please help keep this trail open.  | 16 miles away 1 PHOTO To inspect for log jams beneath the gravel pit access bridge directly east of Romeoville High School, you are allowed to drive up to, but not ACROSS the bridge, according to a security gaurd at the gravel pit. To check for log jams, I'd park BEFORE the bridge, and get out and walk across the bridge, looking over the railing. Also, there's a spot where you can walk up to the river edge. Facing east, it will be on your right, before the bridge. I'm uploading a photo dated April 12, 2002. It's a view of that bridge, taken from the water, looking southwest.... |
