Bear Branch is a nice whitewater spot close to Hunnerkoch Lake, and Hunnerkoch Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Musketeer Campground is a nice local campground. Comfort Inn Metropolis is a great place to get some rest; camping at Fern Lake Campground is always a good experience. So much exciting stuff close to Hunnerkoch Lake, just remarkable. In case you don’t mind getting soaked,       you can always go whitewater paddling on Lusk Creek. This lake is so wonderful. There are tremendous places to discover along the River to River Trail, and Hunnerkoch Lake is a site with many visitors from Paducah. Throughout the days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Hunnerkoch Lake while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in                  the 10's to Hunnerkoch Lake. Don't leave Hunnerkoch Lake without first going for a hike along the River to River Trail, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Metropolis is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two.
