This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Sharp Rock Falls Rec is a perfect place to do that; if you need a place to stay Super 8 Du Quoin is a good choice. Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Hook Lake. This is a wonderful neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Reed Lake is a lake in the vicinity. The       amount of rainfall that falls at Hook Lake is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is May while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Get soaked paddling on Piney Branch River. Lakes are great; Elm Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Hook Lake. Some of the water close by flows, like Goose Creek, and this is a popular place for folks from Carbondale. All through the days of summer at Hook Lake highs                  are mostly in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's.
