Head up to Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park (Snowboarding only - no skiing) and strap some skis to your feet; a good close by hotel is Days Inn Barrington - Chicago. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Wynstone Golf Club not far from Honey Lake, and Villa Olivia is a very popular ski area around here. This lake is so wonderful.
