Do go to Marvin Puzey Lake next to Homer Lake, it's a pretty lake, and getting to Conkey Branch from Homer Lake is trouble-free. High temperatures at Homer Lake through the warm months are in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Homer Lake. A tremendous nearby hotel is Hanford Inn and Suites; camping is available at Sparkling Springs Lake

Homer Lake is a good place of normal rain; most of the rain falls all through July, and January meanwhile is the driest month. Be careful coming to Homer Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. During your spree to Homer Lake you'll meet some folks from Danville for sure. You'll come across a gorgeous lake called Timberlake Farms Lake near Homer Lake, and camping at Rolling Hills Campground is always a great experience.
