This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Hilyn Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Pyramid Acres Campground is a brilliant place for that, and you'll locate a picturesque lake called Lake Helen. A glorious nearby hotel is Holiday Inn CARBONDALE-CONFERENCE CENTER, and while you're here you can play some golf at Green Acres Golf Club. The high level of precipitation makes Hilyn Lake a reasonably       wet spot; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here, and January is when it's the driest. All through the summer months highs here at Hilyn Lake reach the 80's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 60's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Hilyn Lake dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. Hilyn Lake truly is in the middle of a stunning outdoors paradise. Whitewater paddling is fine                  on Little Grassy Creek; since you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Marion-Herrin. Stay the night at Four Seasons Campground, and if you're here, you could also pop by scenic B and A Lake.
