If you came for an overnight stay Devils Kitchen Marina and Campground is a magnificent place to camp, and there are some great whitewater spots on Little Grassy Creek. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Lakes are splendid; Dutchman Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to       Gould Lake; there are plenty of folks from Marion-Herrin here. Summertime highs at Gould Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; night lows at Gould Lake during the wintertime mostly drop into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Tall Tree Lake Dam is not far at all from Gould Lake; after a long day outdoors Drury Inn Marion is a fine place to spend a night                  or two. Gould Lake is a wet place that gets a great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls during March; January is the month with the least moisture. The River to River Trail is a brilliant hiking trail near Gould Lake.
