Tall Tree Lake Dam is a location that is near Gould Lake; a nice close by hotel is Budget Inn. If you're here at Gould Lake, you could take a look at Blue Branch, and you'll hit upon a lovely lake called Dutchman Lake. Buck Ridge Campground is a good campground here, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the River to River Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Devils Kitchen Marina and       Campground; if you need a place to stay Ltd. Inn is a tremendous choice. Man, is there loads of entertaining stuff to do next to Gould Lake. Get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Little Grassy Creek, and at Gould Lake you always meet someone from Marion-Herrin. Gould Lake frequently gets a great deal of precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. High temperatures at Gould Lake throughout                  the warmest time of the year are in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
