This is a glorious neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Old River Lake is a lake around here, and Goose Pond is a magnificent site to visit for more than one day, Hide-a-way Camp Ground is a magnificent site to camp nearby. The annual rainfall here at Goose Pond is about average; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is January. If the weather is perfect here at Goose Pond, you can                  go for a hike along the Chipmunk Trail, and Green Acres Camping is a glorious campground nearby. For the period of the summer months highs here at Goose Pond reach the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's.
