Galvins Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Going for a hike on the Lake Defiance Nature Trail is always a great adventure, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Rolling Knolls Country Club is in the neighborhood. Stay the night at Buffalo Park Campground; Marriott Chicago Northwest is a pleasant location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. A good forest next to Galvins Lake is Spring Creek Valley Forest Preserve,

| | and why not head up to Villa Olivia and strap some skis to your feet.
Galvins Lake Dam has great water scenery and it's close to Galvins Lake, and the Fox River Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Fox River. There's so much to do here at Galvins Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Fox Valley Camp Ground is a tremendous location for that. This lake is so wonderful. | |

While you're here at Galvins Lake, you could also go to charming Beverly Lake, and after a long day outdoors Elgin-Days Inn is a magnificent location to spend a night or two.
From a precipitation point of view Galvins Lake is
a rather normal place; most of the rain falls during June while February is typically the driest month. Having a tremendous time at Galvins Lake is trouble-free. Near Galvins Lake you locate the Lake Defiance Trail which is a glorious
hiking trail, and Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park (Snowboarding only - no skiing) is a very popular ski area in close proximity.
For the period of the summertime, highs usually are in the 80's at Galvins Lake while nighttime lows
are regularly in the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while Galvins Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's.
