In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sangamon, and why       not go to Longs Lake Dam since you're here. Dry warm beds await you at Riverbank Lodge. There's so much to do here at Friend Lake that you need to camp here for a while, North Campground is a wonderful site for that. Longs Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Friend Lake has to offer, you can camp at South Campground. What a site this is for outdoors people.
