This lake is so wonderful. Wonder Center Beach is next to Fox River Reservoir and is a beautiful beach to stop by, and if you're here you can play some golf at Mehenry Country Club. Swamps can be such out of the ordinary places, explore Leatherleaf Bog if you're here at Fox River Reservoir; camping is available at Pistakee Fishing Club. Super 8 Motel - Mchenry is a good place       to get some rest, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Lake Defiance Trail. You just must go for Fox River Reservoir. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Wilmot mountain, and you can run the rapids of White River. Fox River Reservoir is a good spot of typical rain; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while February is mostly the driest month. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Camping at Fox Valley                  Camp Ground is always a brilliant experience. McHenry Lock and Dam is gorgeous and it's in close proximity to Fox River Reservoir; hiking along the Fox River Trail is nice fun. Going for a hike along the Leather Leaf Bog Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; since you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Whitewater. If you get bored of Fox River Reservoir, you could also check out close by Lily Lake, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Chicago-Crystal Lake, Il is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Lac Louette is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park (Snowboarding only - no skiing) is a wonderful local ski area. Summertime at Fox River Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's; the night is slightly colder of course, usually in the 60's.
