On a great day you can explore Anderson Slough, a swamp in the vicinity of Fish Lake, and camping at Fish Lake is great fun, South Campground is a great local campground. Through the summer at Fish Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Fish Lake all through the winter mostly fall into the 10's.       The yearly rainfall here at Fish Lake is about average; during the month of July you get the most rain around here while January is usually the driest month. Riverbank Lodge is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and obviously Jordan Creek flows through this neighborhood. If you're visiting Fish Lake from Canton, you won't be the only one, and you can run the rapids of Sangamon.
