Why not camp at Crab Orchard Camp Grounds since you're here at Elkville Country Club Reservoir, and Elkville Country Club Reservoir Dam has wonderful water scenery. This lake is so wonderful. Just took a drive thru the Squirrels Nest Campground. The place is beautiful and very well kept up. I talked with the manager who was very nice and had my name put on the waiting list, so hopefully I will get a site there in the near future....The squirrel's nest has improved so much since a new manager has taken over, this is now one of the nicest campgrounds in southern illinois but its very hard to get a site here cause its full and no one wants to leave... |
