There is a tremendous hiking trail close to Echo Lake called the Tamarack View Trail, and Leo Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. There's so much to do here at Echo Lake that you need to camp here for a while, E Z Go is a delightful place for that, and you'll meet a lot of people from Chicago-Naperville-Joliet here. This lake is so wonderful. Near Echo Lake       you come across the Volo Bog Interpretive Trail which is a splendid hiking trail, and do stop at Lake Zurich, it's a beautiful lake. Yeah, come here to Echo Lake for a tremendous time. A great nearby hotel is Barrington/Nw Chicago Days Inn, and going for a hike on the Lake Defiance Nature Trail is always a glorious adventure. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Echo Lake highs are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's.                  High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Echo Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Echo Lake gets a normal amount of annual rain; July is the month that gets the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Schaul Country Lakes is a tremendous spot to do that. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Villa Olivia is near Echo Lake; playing golf is lots of fun at Wynstone Golf Club.
