East Loon Lake gets a typical amount of rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at East Loon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Old Port Cove Marina is a glorious site for that, and the slopes of Raging Buffalo       Snowboard Park (Snowboarding only - no skiing) are so inviting noone can resist. You're sure to run into some great folks from Racine here; Silver Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Have a good hiking adventure along the Lake Defiance Nature Trail, and if you need a place to stay Comfort Suites Grayslake is a great choice. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn & Suites Antioch, and Antioch Golf Club is a golf                  course close by. Through the summertime highs here at East Loon Lake reach the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; night lows at East Loon Lake through the winter commonly fall into the 0's. Take a hike on the Volo Bog Interpretive Trail, and if you came to camp Fox River Recreation is a great site to do that. Any time is a wonderful time at East Loon Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors.
