Lakes are such calm places, why not go to Turner Lake right next door to Dunns Lake, and a splendid close by hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites. Nippersink Creek is a nice local stream. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Dunns Lake has to offer, you can camp at Grass Lake Marina and RV Park. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Dunns Lake; through the month       of July you get the most rain around here; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Wilmot mountain in the vicinity, and if you're stopping by from Racine, you won't be the only one. And if that's not sufficient, there's a heap more to do near Dunns Lake. White River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by; if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Tamarack View Trail. If you're a golfer then                  a splendid close by course is Fox Lake Country Club; there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Lake Defiance Nature Trail. During the warm months highs here at Dunns Lake reach the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's while Dunns Lake overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's.
