If you are in this part of Illinois make sure to pay a visit to Duck Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Volo Bog Interpretive Trail is always a fine adventure, and playing golf is lots of fun at Lakemoor Golf Club. During the warmest time of the year highs here at Duck Lake get into the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 60's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime

Fox Lake Motel is a great place to get some rest, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park (Snowboarding only - no skiing). This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. There is a delightful hiking trail in close proximity to Duck Lake called the Tamarack View Trail. while, Island On The Chain RV Park is a fine place for that. You're in all probability into lakes, Fox Lake is one of those nearby, and if you need a spot to stay Marina Motel & Restaurant is a glorious choice.
This lake is so
wonderful. There are brilliant locations to explore along the Lake Defiance Nature Trail, and why not a little side trip to Squaw Creek. Duck Lake gets a normal amount of annual rain; July is when you get the most rain here while
February is commonly the driest month. If you come at the right time of year, White River offers some good whitewater, and if you came to camp Alfred Keil is a nice place to do that.
A trip to Indian Point right next door to Duck Lake is always a tremendous idea, and good skiing awaits you at Wilmot mountain.
