The skiing at Villa Olivia is tremendous; Des Plaines Lake is a glorious spot to visit for more than one day, Joy Of The Game is a glorious spot to camp nearby. For the period of the summer at Des Plaines Lake highs are regularly in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows at Des Plaines Lake all through the wintertime generally plunge into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
