This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Crooked Lake, and an afternoon playing golf at Renwood Golf Course is always a bliss. All the outdoors exciting stuff in close proximity       to Deep Lake will keep you coming back over and over. Camping at Fox River Recreation is always a perfect experience, and gorgeous scenery and good skiing is what you acquire at Wilmot mountain. Deep Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Schaul Country Lakes is a magnificent local campground, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Volo Bog Interpretive Trail. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Raging Buffalo                  Snowboard Park (Snowboarding only - no skiing) while you're here, and Sun Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Tamarack View Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and a great nearby hotel is Comfort Suites Grayslake. For the period of the warm months highs here at Deep Lake reach the 80's; the overnight is somewhat chillier of course, regularly in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Deep Lake.
