There's always Lake Shangri La Dam to check out close to Cross Lake, and not far from Cross Lake you'll find Cross Lake which is a lovely lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Voltz Lake is close at hand, and a fine nearby hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites Antioch. The amount of precipitation that falls at       Cross Lake is close to the national average; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. And that's not all you can do here at Cross Lake. If the weather is perfect here at Cross Lake, you can go for a hike along the Volo Bog Interpretive Trail, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Spring Valley Country Club is in the vicinity. Hit the slopes at Wilmot mountain in the vicinity,                  and after a long day outdoors Radisson Hotel & Conference Center Kenosha is a perfect site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Old Port Cove Marina; if you come at the right time of year, Pike River offers some wonderful whitewater. Going for a hike along the Tamarack View Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. The warmest time of the year at Cross Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are generally in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Cross Lake sink into the 0's.
