All through the summertime at Craig Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Craig Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. Soar down the rapids of Mississippi River in a kayak, and there's always Craig Lake Dam to go to in close proximity to Craig Lake. Enjoy       a round of golf at Rolling Hills Golf Course not far from Craig Lake; you can stay the night at Neumann's Olde Oak Ridge Park. Craig Lake gets a common amount of yearly rain; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Craig Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Trails End Campgrounds is a glorious spot for that, and if you need a spot to stay Alton Super 8                  Motel is a good choice. You're perhaps interested in lakes, Lake Piasa is one of those nearby, and Holiday Inn Alton, Il is a fine spot to get some rest.
