County Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Holiday Acres Camping Resort is a wonderful spot to camp, and if you've had enough of County Lake, Candlewick Lake is nearby. So many entertaining things to do here at County Lake, too good to be true. A pleasant nearby hotel is Quality Inn & Suites Loves Park, and at County Lake you always meet someone from Rockford. | | County Lake while nighttime lows are frequently in the 60's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to County Lake.

Very fun! Great trip for 2-3 friends. We set in at the dam at Sweet-Allyn Memorial Park, and traveled upstream with ease to the arched railroad bridge (E Cty Rd.
