Cottonwood Pond gets a large amount of water; the month with most of the rain is March; the driest month is January. Lake of Egypt Country Club is a golf course in close proximity to Cottonwood Pond, and Open Pond is a nearby lake that you could pop by. There's so much to do here at Cottonwood Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Redbud Campground is a fine place for that. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater       on Bear Branch for all you adrenaline kick people, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the River to River Trail. That right there is plenty already, but it continues; Cottonwood Pond has it all. After a long day outdoors Economy Inn & Suites is a perfect place to spend a night or two; you can run the rapids of Lusk Creek. Take a side tour to Black Slough, and White Lace Inn is a brilliant location to get some rest. While you're here at Cottonwood                  Pond you will meet lots of folks from close by Harrisburg. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Cottonwood Pond has to offer, you can camp at Teal Pond Campground. The warmest time of the year at Cottonwood Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's.
