Cote Lake

Is this lake still open to fish or entirely private now? Says Seth

I remember going fishing here with my friend and his parents back in the mid 80s. it was owned by an old man and woman and we gave them like 2 dollars a day to fish there. they were great people. its an awesome bass lake and you get them really early morning on big sized hula poppers thrown far from the boat in the areas with the submerged vegetation on the west shore. During the day
it was a toss up between live whole very large crawdads hooked weightless in the drop off area toward the back. Also live whole night crawlers in deep spot shelves.. We have caught several in the 7 to 9 lb range here in those years.
I haven't been there since 1991. Says Chris

Shore fishing was great for me this year. I went fishing two weeks straight(excluding Sun). I caught at least two bass per day on one type of bait. 10.5 in. zoom ribbontail worm/black. Each bass weighed at least 1.5lbs. one bass weighed 2lbs and one weighed 2.5lbs Says Bobby

I caught three lg mouth back to back swimming a football jig with crayfish trailer. Good lake to fish if you have a boat or paddleboat. Not the best from the bank. Limited spots to fish. Says Caleb
