If you are in Perry county it's always a good idea to stop by Clear Lake. Clear Lake is a good spot to camp, Water Lily Campground is a good spot. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel Pickneyville is a great site to spend a night or two, and a tremendous place for whitewater paddling is Piney Branch River. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Beehive Lake, and camping at Clear Lake is pleasant

From a rainfall point of view Clear Lake is a quite normal site; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and January is when it's the driest. All through the months of summer highs here at Clear Lake get into the 90's; the overnight is quite colder of course, typically in the 60's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 30's while Clear Lake overnight low temperatures | |
