It's always fun to stop by Circle Pond. Why not camp at Injun Joe Campground since you're here at Circle Pond, and a splendid place for whitewater paddling is Cedar Creek. For the period of the summertime, highs commonly are in the 80's at Circle Pond, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Circle Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Visit Austin Creek since you're here

If you get bored of Circle Pond, you could also go to nearby Schaffer Pond, and Circle Pond is not far at all from Hannibal. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Hannibal is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because American Legion Golf Course is nearby. Circle Pond rules! Lily Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore, and Hannibal Travelodge is a perfect spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Bayview Camper's Park; get your heart beating
on the good whitewater of Fall Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Circle Pond gets a common amount of yearly rain; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while January is typically the driest month.

Cedar Creek
 | 11 miles away 1 PHOTO In response to keith's note. I've kayaked Cedar Creek several times. During heavy rain events the creek is VERY wild. And while yes it is bony, it's a fun ride.. especially since it's one of the only places to get above a class II ride around quincy. Additionally, DO NOT go to bear creek unless you plan on doing some flat water near where it meets the mississippi river. Any further upstream and you'll be dealing with hostile landowners who aren't aware of the navigability laws in illinois. You'll probably be met by a sherrif on the take out.
