Paddling on Little Grassy Creek is so much fun, and camping at Squirrel's Nest is always a pleasant experience. For the period of the summertime months at Christopher Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's, and the night is fairly colder of course, usually in the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while Christopher Lake overnight low temperatures during       the winter are in the 20's. Any time is a magnificent time at Christopher Lake if you go for the outdoors. This lake is so wonderful. Christopher New Reservoir Dam is worth stopping at since you're here, and after a long day outdoors Benton-Days Inn is a perfect spot to spend a night or two. If you came to camp Bates Campground is a wonderful spot to do that, and SUPER 8 MOTEL - DU QUOIN is a magnificent site to get some rest. Christopher Lake is a wet spot that                  gets a lot of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Christopher Lake is a location with many visitors from Marion-Herrin.
