So many exciting things to do at Cherry Lake, so little time. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel Pickneyville is a brilliant choice, and an afternoon playing golf at Red Hawk Country Club is always a diversion. Throughout the summertime, highs mostly are in the 80's at Cherry Lake. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's,       and nighttime lows during the winter for Cherry Lake tend to be in the 20's. After a long day outdoors SUPER 8 MOTEL - DU QUOIN is a glorious location to spend a night or two, and why not explore New Cherry Lake Dam while you're here. If you came for an overnight stay Squirrel's Nest is a great spot to camp, and you're sure to run into some fine folks from Carbondale here.
