Be careful coming to Campus Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. A lovely lake like Deer Lake in close proximity to Campus Lake is a tremendous spot to stop by; a great place for whitewater paddling is Little Grassy Creek. Lakes are such calm spots, why not stop at Carbondale Reservoir next to Campus Lake, and there are plenty of people from Carbondale here. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing       golf at Midland Hills Golf Course is always a diversion, and Campus Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Devil's Kitchen Boat Dock is a fine place to camp nearby. For the period of the warm days of summer here at Campus Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Campus Lake.                  Campus Lake is in the neighborhood of Campus Lake Dam which is a gorgeous place without doubt worth stopping at; after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Carbondale is a great place to spend a night or two. Campus Lake gets a good deal of water; March is when you get the most rain here, and January is when it's the driest.
