Do visit Little Pond in the neighborhood of Boulder Lake, it's a delightful lake, and since you're here, you could also visit pretty Marsh Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Boulder Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Campalot is a good location for that, and during your visit here you'll       meet some folks from Carbondale for sure. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Boulder Lake has to offer, you can camp at Sharp Rock Falls Rec, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Pinckneyville. From a precipitation point of view Boulder Lake is a rather typical site; during the month of May you get the most rain around here; January is the month with the least moisture. Summertime highs at Boulder Lake generally tend to be in the 90's while                  nighttime lows are regularly in the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's while Boulder Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's.
