Camping at Oak Ridge Campground is always a wonderful experience, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Boss Wilson Pond; Hoot Owl Trail is a perfect local trail. Throughout the long summer days at Boss Wilson Pond highs are ordinarily in the 80's.       Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Boss Wilson Pond sink into the 10's. Super 8 Motel Beardstown IL is a brilliant site to get some rest, and the Red Oak Backpack Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are nice; McCoe Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Boss Wilson Pond, and Boss                  Wilson Pond is right by the Old Village Trail. Boss Wilson Pond gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; the wettest month of the year is typically July, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest.
