Big Four Reservoir is near Lake Hillsboro Dam which is a pretty place absolutely worth a visit; a lake close by is Shoal Creek Watershed Impoundment Reservoir. Big Four Reservoir is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Indian Grove Campground is a pleasant local campground; a great nearby hotel is Litchfield Super 8 Motel. High temperatures at Big Four Reservoir through       the summertime are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Big Four Reservoir temperatures drop to the 10's. If you came to camp Sherwood Forest Campground is a good site to do that, unsurprisingly you could also stop by Lake Hillsboro since you're here; it's not far at all. The amount of precipitation that falls at Big Four                  Reservoir is close to the national average; May is the wettest month with most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest.
