Back Lake is a splendid place to camp, South Campground is a splendid place. An average amount of rain falls at Back Lake; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is January. Throughout the long summer days at Back Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Back Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
