A lake close by is Waltonville Lake, and Auxiliary Reservoir is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Squirrel's Nest is a glorious place to camp nearby. A common amount of rain falls here at Auxiliary Reservoir; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is January.
