Camping is available at Green River Oaks, and if you have time to spare, Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor is a national park worth going to. You simply should fancy Ashley Lake. If you're a golfer then a splendid nearby course is Makray Memorial Golf Club, and nice hiking is available along the Volo Bog Interpretive Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
