In Illinois there are many beautiful lakes, Ashley Lake is one of them. If you need a site to stay Barrington/Nw Chicago Days Inn is a delightful choice, and not far from Ashley Lake you'll locate Deer Grove Lake which is a pretty lake. At Ashley Lake during the summer months highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's; night lows in the 0's for Ashley Lake. This lake is

| | so wonderful. Don't leave Ashley Lake without first going for a hike along the Tamarack View Trail, and you can stay the night at Green River Oaks.
Ashley Lake is a good location of typical precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. The Lake Defiance Trail offers hiking at its best, and Makray Memorial Golf Club is a splendid golf course close by.

skiing) while you're here. There are plenty of folks from Chicago-Naperville-Joliet here at Ashley Lake, and there's tremendous hiking along the Volo Bog Interpretive Trail. Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor is
a great local destination here at Ashley Lake, and scenic scenery and perfect skiing is what you acquire at Villa Olivia.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Deer Lake, and Ashley Lake is a great spot to visit for more than one day, E Z Go is a great spot to camp nearby.

The Governor’s office recently announced that the State of Illinois will be closing the I&M and Hennepin Canal State Parks. While it’s unclear whether the State will put ''trail closed'' signs up, there is no apparent money to maintain them and fallen trees, washouts, and other issues will undoubtedly happen.
