Any time is a pleasant time at Alleman Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. There's always Alleman Lake Dam to stop at near Alleman Lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit Vermilion River. A great nearby hotel is Brightwood Inn, and a pleasant site to camp here at Alleman Lake is Utica Koa Kampground. Summertime highs at Alleman Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's while nighttime       lows are typically in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Alleman Lake are in the 10's. Camping at Lasalle/Peru KOA is always a glorious experience; there are some nice whitewater spots on Bailey Creek. The amount of rain that falls at Alleman Lake is close to the national average; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is February.
