Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Yellow Belly Lake throughout the winter frequently dip into the-10's. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Sawtooth Range is peerless! There's whitewater on Salmon River for all you adrenaline people; Yellow Belly Lake is a brilliant site to visit for more than one day, Alturas Inlet Campground is a brilliant site                  to camp nearby. A delightful lake like Hell Roaring Lake near Yellow Belly Lake is a great place to stop by, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Yellow Belly Trail. Pettit Lake Fish Barrier Dam has good water scenery and it's next to Yellow Belly Lake, and what would winter be without some skiing at Soldier Mountain Ski Resort. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm places, why not go to Pettit Lake in close proximity to Yellow Belly Lake, and the Bull Moose Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by.
