     Wood Lake is a nice lake to visit. Throughout the summertime at Wood Lake highs are commonly in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows during the wintertime for Wood Lake tend to be in the 20's. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Clearwater Mountains. Going for a hike along the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail  
   will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and if you're here, you could also pop by lovely Old Man Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Have a great hiking adventure along the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail. There's so much to do here at Wood Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Race Creek Campground is a glorious site for that.
These mountains rock, just check out all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Clearwater Mountains.
 
               Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Wood Lake. A great place for whitewater paddling near Wood Lake is Lochsa River, and Lochsa River is a splendid whitewater spot close by. This lake is one of the great places here in the Clearwater Mountains.
From Wood Lake you obtain a great vista of Chimney Peak; if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail. Kettle Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and if you came to camp Fog Mountain Campground is a good place to do that. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Wood Lake; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and the driest month is July.
