If you like lakes and you're in this part of Idaho you can check out Wood Lake. Wood Lake is one of the lakes here in the Clearwater Mountains. A normal amount of rain falls here at Wood Lake; January is the month that gets the most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Clearwater Mountains. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Lochsa River; you can stay the night at Race Creek Campground.

| | Throughout the days of summer at Wood Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Wood Lake. Go for a hike on the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Lochsa River offers some magnificent whitewater. Just can't get enough of Wood Lake.

spots to explore along the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail; here at Wood Lake you can observe Chimney Peak. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Wood Lake without first going for a hike along the Anderson Butte
National Recreation Trail. There's so much to do here at Wood Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Fog Mountain Campground is a delightful place for that.
