    What a nice lake Lake Winifred is. Lake Winifred is right by the Deep Creek Trail; Joes Gap is another delightful site to stop at close by. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Wallowa Mountains. Stay the night at Huckleberry Campground, and from Lake Winifred you obtain a fine sight of Smith Mountain. Drift down the rapids of Wildhorse River in a kayak, and you should unquestionably dedicate some time to Horse Pasture Basin if you're here at Lake Winifred.
 
   Summertime highs at Lake Winifred ordinarily tend to be in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's with temperatures at Lake Winifred dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. Lake Winifred is generally a pretty dehydrated location; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful.  
               Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Red Ledge Trail; Lake Winifred is a brilliant place to camp, Black Lake Campground is a brilliant place.
