    The beauty of Lake Winifred is reason enough to stop by. Lake Winifred is right by the Deep Creek Trail, and if you've had enough of Lake Winifred, Emerald Lake is nearby. Lake Winifred gets very little rainfall; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful.
High temperatures at Lake Winifred all through the long summer days are in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down
 
   to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Lake Winifred are in the 20's. Lake Winifred is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Huckleberry Campground is a pleasant local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge. So many entertaining things to do here at Lake Winifred, too good to be true. If you came to camp Black Lake Campground is a delightful spot to do that,  
               and do take a hike on the Rapid River Trail.
Man, is there loads of amusing things to do in the Wallowa Mountains. A delightful site like Horse Pasture Basin here at Lake Winifred is too perfect to miss, and you can see Smith Mountain from Lake Winifred. You clearly should fancy the Wallowa Mountains. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wildhorse River, and Joes Gap is another wonderful spot to stop at nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Snake River is a brilliant whitewater spot close to Lake Winifred, and you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the Red Ledge Trail.
This lake is located in the wonderful Wallowa Mountains.
