It's always fun to stop by Wiggler Lake. Just can't get enough of the Wasatch Range. Hidden Lake is a splendid lake near Wiggler Lake. If you came to camp Red Banks Campground is a pleasant site to do that, and dry warm beds await you at Crystal Inn Logan. Wiggler Lake is one of the lakes here in the Wasatch Range. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is pleasant here at Wiggler Lake, you can go for a hike along the Limber Pine Trail; get soaked paddling

| | on Logan River. Wiggler Lake is pretty dried out generally; the month with most of the rain is June, and July on the other hand is the driest. At Wiggler Lake during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. why not go to Horse Lake close to Wiggler Lake, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Beaver Mountain while you're here. Camping at Cloverleaf Campground is always a fine experience; the Midland Trail is a brilliant
hiking trail nearby. And that's not all the things to do here in the Wasatch Range. Going for a hike along the Bloomington Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and a fine place like Gibson Basin here at Wiggler Lake is too great to miss.

Bloomington Lake Trail
 | ...gton Lake is up Bloomington Canyon on the West Side of the Bear Lake Valley. The canyon road is accessed off of Highway 89 in the community of Bloomington. It is approximately 11 miles to the top of the canyon and parking area. The road is dirt and gravel and suitable for most passenger cars. It is a short trail to the lake where you will be rewarded with a beautiful high mountain lake with high surrounding cliffs. There are many trails the lead off from the canyon and connect to other surrounding canyons. One of the more notable trails is the Highline Trail. This is an approximate 60 mile trail that runs north and south along the ridge line of the mountains. The trail can be accessed at many point including the top of Bloomington Canyon. At the parking area the road continues a bit futher west and the road turns into a trail that leads up to the ridge.  | The Limber Pine trail is more of a nature walk than a hike. It's good for kids and those seeking an easy, short trail. Educational posting about flora, etc. are included around this loop trail. It's fun, too, even if you are a serious hiker. I think I could complete the loop in 15 minutes, but one posting I saw said 45 minutes. Walk it and find out. Easy access right off the road.... |
