Idaho has many beautiful lakes and West Fork Lakes is one of them. So many entertaining things right next door to West Fork Lakes, completely fantastic. All year is a great time in the Salmon River Mountains if you go for the outdoors. Camping is available at South Fork Campground; get yourself into a kayak and hit Camas Creek. If you come at the right time of year, Loon Creek offers some magnificent whitewater, and Woodtick Summit can be made out from West Fork

This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around West Fork Lakes; South Fork Trail is a perfect local trail; why not camp at Middle Fork Peak Campground since you're here at West Fork Lakes. Not far from West Fork Lakes, you'll stumble on Cache Creek Lakes which is a lovely lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Waterfall Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains.

temperatures at West Fork Lakes sink into the-10's. West Fork Lakes is a location that is quite dry generally; most of the snow falls through December, and July is the month with the least moisture.
