Welcome Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! Welcome Lake is excellent!. Man, is there a load of entertaining stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains. You could also stop by Airplane Lake while you're here at Welcome Lake; it's nearby, and you can stay the night at Crags Campground. Yellowjacket Campground is a tremendous campground here; nearby you come across the Waterfall Trail which is

A great place for whitewater paddling near Welcome Lake is Panther Creek; going for a hike on the Ship Island Trail is always a good adventure. The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Welcome Lake is commonly a pretty dried up place; throughout June this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Welcome Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Camas Creek, and there are nice locations to discover along the Clear Creek Trail.
